“Before working with Luke I was feeling worn out and had a chronic sore back. Mentally tired and suffering from an overactive mind which lead to anxiety. And not sure what spirituality was let alone able to harness it in any meaningful way. My energy levels were low, I was struggling to manage stress, and my body composition and confidence were low. My mood was up and down, I was experiencing brain fog, and had ongoing long term digestive issues. And all of this was feeding a lack of self confidence that was holding me back professionally and personally.

I was always tired and impatient, particularly around my children. I was unable to play tennis or exercise due to back issues and lacked confidence in my physical state.  I was not able to focus and be fully present in my environment and felt unable to communicate how I was feeling in the work environment. And I was always looking to find happiness through external sources.

The main thing holding me back from hiring a coach was a perception that I didn’t have the time (which I now recognise is not true), and a worry about the perceived value of investing so much into myself. And I definitely had some fear about disclosing things that are personal to me to someone else.

In the end, my overwhelming desire to be the best version of myself and recognising I couldn’t do that on my own drove me to move through these concerns and do it anyway.

One of the biggest things I’ve learned with Luke is the true meaning and power of ‘Spirituality’. Before I started I thought this was a ‘woo woo’ idea. Now I know that without an appreciation of this, the rest is meaningless. This coming from a lawyer and finance guy who is very ‘rational’ by nature.

The other big thing is that it doesn’t matter how old you are, by doing little things every day you can improve yourself! Physically, mentally and emotionally. You can exercise as much as you like but things like sleep, nutrition and hydration are even more important to improving physical and emotional well being. Meditation and breathing (as well as sleep) are now the two most important things for me.

Since working with Luke I am now more focused at work but also confident to throw caution to the wind in terms of my career. I am more present with my children and wife - particularly on weekends! I feel great physically (best shape I’ve been in my life) and my back is as good as it ever has been. I am stronger and more mobile, lifting weights consistently for the first time ever and back playing tennis with full freedom.

My sleep is so much better, my energy levels are consistently high, anxiety and stress is under control, and I am much more present and productive at work and home. My sense of self worth, self belief and self confidence has been strengthened and this has flowed into better relationships personally and professionally.

Health wise, I am not getting sick when I used to quite often (only once this year, despite having two young kids and a demanding career), and some long standing digestive issues have really settled down and are under control.

If you had told me back then that by now I would:

  • Not suffer back pain every day

  • Feeling confident in my body for the first time in years and be back playing tennis

  • Be calmer, and more focused at work and home

  • Have a better quality relationship with my wife and daughters

  • Wake up each day feeling energised

  • Not need a nap on the couch in the afternoon on weekends

  • Be back into reading books and growing my mind

  • Taking cold showers every morning...and loving it!

I would have told you “you were dreaming”.

Luke is such a great coach…caring, clever and passionate.  He was the circuit breaker that I needed and the daily habits I have built with his support and mentoring have changed my life in so many positive ways. And I could not have figured this out on my own. I was operating within the vortex that your mind can take you into. I hadn’t had any major “awakening” and I wouldn’t have either unless Luke had taken me on this journey. Every layer I peeled open I found something else. And it was fun. Luke is a man of his word which is something I love about him and is great with follow up and accountability.

This coaching delivers a massive return on investment both financially and non-financially (I.e. happiness). It’s the best investment I’ve ever made (way more valuable than my MBA). My advice to anyone considering doing it, is to trust your instinct, enjoy the journey and invest in yourself after what has probably been a long time since you did so.

“Before beginning to work with Luke I was overweight, highly stressed and letting my emotions rule my world more than I would like.

I was lacking confidence in my body and feeling tired from a lack of sleep and rest (married with a second child on the way). This led me to be quick to react to situations with emotion, anger and frustration and I had no tools for dealing with the stress of running a business and raising a young family.

I knew I needed help, but I wasn’t sure how health coaching worked, and uncertain of whether it would be valuable enough for me to justify the spend. “After the sudden and unexpected breakdown of my 30 year marriage, I feel into a deep despair. “Prior to starting the program, I was in a difficult place mentally, physically and emotionally. I was continuously striving to be the best at everything that I was doing, but wasn't taking care of the most important piece of the puzzle...myself. Whether it was poor sleeping habits, terrible nutrition, lack of exercise and perpetually high-stress levels, I wasn't doing anything to improve myself or address these key areas to which I lacked structure, discipline and control. I was consistently drained of energy, my moods were wildly inconsistent and mentally I felt as if I was not living up to my potential as each day passed.

My body looks and feels the best it has been in years, I'm about to start training for a sprint triathlon, and my sleep continues to be consistently good, as well as my nutrition. I've also been able to establish a renewed sense of boundaries in my life that has really benefited my marriage and relationships. The relationships with my family have strengthened as I’ve developed more presence, compassion, understanding and willingness to be proactive in them.

I have more energy throughout the day, I am less moody and more present with my wife and Son, thinking more clearly and sleeping much better. My body is stronger and more muscular, flexibility/mobility has improved, and I have renewed confidence in my body and it’s capabilities which is really important to me as a former athlete.

I haven’t been getting sick as often as I used to (despite having a young child and hectic work life with lots of travel), ongoing digestive issues have cleared up and chronic pain I’ve dealt with for a long time has settled down significantly.

I’ve got much greater self-awareness and a sense of ‘self-love’, an ongoing challenge for me as someone who is very driven and hard on myself with super high expectations. And in my work, I am less reactive and dismissive, able to listen better and create stronger boundaries.

Luke is an amazing coach and mentor. that impacted my life in an incredibly positive way, giving me a completely new perspective on health and life. He is an incredible listener - a therapist in a way - and does an awesome job condensing my thoughts and pulling together actionable suggestions.

I could not have done this on my own. I may have started working out, but I wouldn't have been able to know and bring together all the other necessary elements without having the right tools, and wouldn’t have been effective at implementing them on my own. it's easy to not take care of yourself and enter into a spin cycle. Introducing healthy habits and maintaining those habits can be very difficult to implement without the right guidance. 

If you are thinking about getting help with your health and working with Luke…do it - you won't regret the decision. You can't do everything and be your best self without taking care of you.

Before working with Luke I was experiencing a range of  issues around stress management, mood, lack of motivation and drive, digestive issues and challenges with my body. And a real lack of clarity and purpose that left me feeling lost and confused.

Initially, I thought I could (and should be able to) figure this stuff out on my own and didn’t need a coach, and the belief that hiring a coach was a cost rather than an investment.

I also had a fear that my issues had no potential answers or were too complex, and a bit of hesitation around how it would be to open up personally.

In the end, I realized that I couldn’t do it all alone, and despite initially thinking I couldn’t afford to hire Luke, I decided to listen to my gut and do it anyway.

Since working with Luke I’ve got a much stronger relationship and understanding of my Self,. I feel much more in control and able to grasp the reins of my own dreams, and live authentically. My general outlook has been effected in such a way that all other aspects of life are following suit, with energy levels, mentality, productivity, health and relationships all benefiting in significant ways.

I felt so supported the whole time and having Luke as a Coach was like having an external consciousness that brought the best out of me. In a very short time we were able to connect at a real authentic level, unclouded by the fears, guilt or concerns that circumstances were upon me at that time. 

I would recommend this coaching to a Man who is open to considering the truth that maybe, just maybe, they don't know all the answers. And what's more, and even more radical, is that that's okay. Its okay to not know, and its okay to ask for help. You don't have to justify what your struggling with against the weight of anyone else's journey, that's not the point. The point is to become the best possible version of yourself so that you can hold yourself through life's testing ground, and in doing so, be a greater support for those around you. 

It is a understandable response to be unsure about hiring a coach, to be hesitant at the prospect of 'investing in himself'. Men have been collectively subject to cultural conditioning that still informs our unconscious decision making. We're expected to be able to handle our own emotions, our own trauma, our own personal crises, without the need for an external assistance in any way. Even though there is a lack of true guidance when it comes to handling these things, the act of reaching out, of seeking help, of being vulnerable, still makes us uncomfortable.

Personally I initially struggled to think of a coaching relationship as an investment, and when I examined that emotion closer, it was related to a fear of not having enough, of wasting money, of not being worth it, all based in a scarcity mindset that was detrimental to so many other aspects of my health and life.

You are your greatest asset. You will better serve all those around you if you are in a better place. You will better serve yourself! It seems a contradiction to say that, through working on yourself you benefit others, but I can say from personal experience it is absolutely the case. You can't fill from an empty cup, or a cracked one for that matter. Fix the cracks, fill your own cup, serve those you love, and realize that you don't have to do it all alone.
